Miss Black TTU Scholarship Pageant
The Black Student Association has also been very involved in the founding of Miss Black TTU. Years ago, women of color were not allowed to serve on the homecoming court at Texas Tech University. The discrimination raged the black community at Tech so they created their own annual pageant titled “Miss Black TTU”. Over the years, the pageant was discontinued but this fall made the mark of the 5th annual return of the pageant as a reminder of our history and where we came from.
